Dia Dhuit (Dee-ah gwith),  ABIS family.  I hope, like me, you are ‘feeling good’ after a restful summer. I had the opportunity to go home to Europe, spend time with my father (The Daddy) in his garden, enjoy a fine dinner cooked by my nephew and celebrate my brother receiving his Law and Criminology degree. I am VERY excited for the year ahead, which has gotten off to a great start already. As a team, the Student Support Services (SST) delivered our first faculty workshop, focusing on English language acquisition, inclusion and wellbeing this week. I look forward to assisting students with transitions into their new grade levels, and another year of helping them recognize their strengths, and learn how to build upon them with confidence.

With the help of my colleagues and team-mates, I’m also looking forward to developing my own Arabic skills.  If you need any guidance or information on matters related to English Language Acquisition, Learning Support or our Counseling services, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at m.bray@abisoman.com.
