Dear Students and Families,
As we wrap up this busy semester, I want to wish everyone a very happy winter break! Enjoy the well-deserved rest and time with loved ones.
You’ve all worked incredibly hard this semester.
Here’s a quick recap and what’s ahead:
Grade 7 Science You’ve accomplished so much in your introduction to MYP Science, completing units on the Scientific Method and Matter, including assessments in both. Great job! Come back in January refreshed and ready for our exciting new unit: An Introduction to Cell Biology. We’ll get into the fascinating world of cells!
Grade 8 Science Fantastic work on Ecosystems & Sustainability and Atomic Structure & the Periodic Table—assessments complete! When we return, we’ll kick off a new unit on Sound and Light Waves. Get ready for some wave-making experiments!
Grade 10 Science We’re looking forward to having you back as we continue building strong foundations in preparation for the e-assessment. Keep up the momentum!
Grade 11 Chemistry You’ve successfully completed Structure 1 (with a heavy focus on mole concept calculations) and part of Reactivity 1. Well done! In Semester 2, we’ll welcome you back to continue with Bonding and Structure.
Grade 12 Chemistry You’ve received feedback on your IAs and are right on track for final drafts. Syllabus completion is targeted for the end of February, paving the way for focused revision ahead of your finals. Proud of your progress!
Thank you all for your enthusiasm, curiosity, and effort this semester. Recharge over the break, and let’s make the new year even better in science!
See you in January!
Mr Duncan.
