For teachers, it is a busy time of year and there are not enough hours in the day! But it also provides a good opportunity to reflect, as we write up reports and review our practices through the year.

As students, you should do the same.

Most tests, summatives and currciulum are drawing to a close and it’s certainly time to anticiapte the holidays.  As many have discovered, a few good perfomances at the end does not make up for a year of mediocre performance – your reports reflect the consistency of your performance throughout the year.

So, in all the frenetic last minute activities, take time to reflect on your year of study. (maybe 5-10 minutes before bedtime. Journal ideas as a more concrete way to revisit your thoughts) What did you do well? How could you improve your habits to study more consistently throughout the year? Is there a better way to study, make notes, or improve yourself?

It is only through reflection that we grow and change. So do some thinking, some planning. Write it down. Review at the begining of next year. Be ready, be prepared and crush it!
