The much awaited MEUC Swim Meet took place last Friday and Saturday and what a fantastic weekend of swimming it was. ABIS was represented by 15 talented and enthusiastic swimmers who swam their hearts out against swimmers from 27 schools ranging from countries in Africa and the Middle East as well as schools from Azerbaijan. It was an exhausting weekend for all our swimmers with many making the finals in their events and swimming a lot of races. ABIS swimmers were well rewarded bringing home 8 medals with all of our swimmers being very competitive and finishing well in the top half of their events. They all swam personal bests in nearly all their events with Sergio being outstanding when he broke his personal best by 2 seconds to swim 34 seconds in his 50m freestyle heat and then better this again by another 2 seconds to swim 32 seconds in the final. Well done to Julio, Jules, Sanna, Courtney, Tay’a , Greta, Sergio, Diego, Lilli, Natalie, Kate, Daniela, Adriana, Wade and Fabio on a great effort.
