This week we continued working on our weather inquiries. The student collected data from the weather station. In maths they started work on measurement and used thermometers to measure temperatures using standard units.

This week in grade 11 we started a new topic, Oscillations and Waves. We looked at different oscillatory and periodic motions and used these to discuss Simple Harmonic Motion involving damping systems.

We continued our weather unit this week. They completed a water cycle experiment. We experienced some very windy weather. The children also wrote their reflections about the first half of grade 2. (How can second grade be halfway done?)

This week we continued on our third unit about the Atmosphere. Students have been building mini weather stations and different instruments used by meteorologists.

For this UOI we are focusing on being good communicators. Today the K2 students participated in fun activities where they had to work together and use their communication skills to build something collaboratively as a group.

Today the ECC students participate in STEAM. We focused on our fine motor skills, practicing cutting and glueing. We did some free painting and participated in lots of group activities to promote cooperation.
