In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, PINK October, the school turned pink today!
Thank you to the Secondary StuCo for initiating this and to everyone who supported this initiative by wearing pink.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also called ‘Pink October’. ‘It is an opportunity to raise awareness of the disease, provide support to women with breast cancer and to highlight how early screening can significantly improve the chances of a successful outcome.’ From European Commission website.
On October 29th, in Muscat, the Oman Cancer Association is organizing a walkathon, a significant event to raise awareness and funds for cancer prevention and patient support in Oman.
This is a great opportunity to get involved and learn more about a very important cause.
