G8  students completed a comprehensive literary analysis of the translated novel Around the World in Eighty Days, aligned with the Middle Years Programme (MYP) standards under the Key Concept of “Orientation in Space and Time” and the Global Context of “Personal and Cultural Expression” / “Exploration in Space and Time”.
In Criterion A: Analysing, students focused on deconstructing the characters, their psychological dimensions, and the motivations driving their choices. In Criterion B: Organizing, they traced the events and narrative structure—from conflict and plot to climax—highlighting the author’s use of suspense. Furthermore, they identified the core issue regarding time management, human endurance, and cultural openness, demonstrating a deep understanding of the text and applying critical thinking skills.
