Character Analysis through Literary Debate

This week, Grade 11 students engaged in a dynamic exploration of the Arabic novel by conducting a formal debate centered on character analysis. Moving beyond traditional literary commentary, students adopted various perspectives to argue the motivations, ethical dilemmas, and socio-psychological dimensions of the protagonists. This activity was designed to enhance Critical Thinking and Oral Communication skills, requiring students to substantiate their claims with textual evidence. Through this collaborative inquiry, students developed a more nuanced understanding of narrative structure and the complexities of human nature within Arabic literature.
