At the heart of the International Baccalaureate philosophy is the celebration of local cultures and the belief that true global-mindedness begins with deep appreciation for the communities that shape us.

Today, on Oman’s 55th National Day, our school came alive with pride and joy as we honored this beautiful nation that hosts us. In the Mazoon, students delivered  traditional Omani dances and vibrant displays of heritage.

Moments like these remind us why the IB encourages learners to be principled, open-minded, and caring: by embracing and celebrating the culture of Oman, we not only show respect to our host country, but we also enrich our own understanding of what it means to belong to something greater than ourselves.

Happy National Day, Oman! 🇴🇲 From a truly grateful IB community. ❤️
