The world of science is about investigation, observation, and wondrous discovery. It’s exactly these kinds of learning experiences our modern students crave. As teachers, we can ensure science remains an exciting and often magical subject for our learners. There’s no better way to do this than with simple but highly creative inquiry-based learning science activities that challenge and inspire enriching learning.
Grade 8 science continues to explore the unit on how scientists conduct scientific investigations with a focus on the scientific method. This week , the students collected data by comparing the boiling points of different solutions. The next steps include processing the data by transforming and presenting the data in numerical and/ or visual forms using graphs. The students will accurately interpret the data and describe the results using correct scientific reasoning. This formative assessment helps them acquire the necessary skills for their upcoming summative assessment in criterion C-Processing and evaluating.
