Our senior boys also travelled to Muscat on Monday and even though they knew it would be a challenge, were hopeful of keeping their undefeated record intact. The game started pretty evenly with both teams displaying very strong defense making scoring difficult. TAISM were first on the scoreboard but ABIS kept to within 6 points through most of the first half and could have been even closer as nerves led to a number of easy missed baskets. The start of the second half was a critical part of the game with TAISM applying a full court press making it difficult for our boys to get the ball into play resulting in a lot of steals which resulted in baskets. Our boys fought hard against a well drilled team and all of our players showed what they are capable of with some great plays. David, Isaac, Rhett and Julio scored some fantastic baskets but it wasn’t enough against a solid TAISM team who ran out winners 50-32. Well done boys on a fantastic effort.
