From the Gym

What a game! Our girls had their re-match with the local Sohar girls team on Wednesday evening. The local team came out strongly and put the first two baskets on the board to show our girls that they needed to take things seriously if they wanted to win. Our girls had to fight hard for every basket and Tay’a was first to score with a nice distance shot followed by a fantastic speckie lay up from Andee but every time they looked like we were getting close the opposition would score to maintain their lead. At half time things were still a little bit scary but ABIS had clawed their way to lead 13-12. In the second half our girls grew in confidence and after a nice basket from Kerry-Ann drew away to a 23-16 win. Well done to all the girls on their great fighting spirit with special mention of Christine and Kerry-Ann who were solid in defense and controlled the game well.
