Today was the first day of Topic 6 (Circular motion and Gravitation) for the Grade 12 Physicists. We started the new unit today with an experiment that uses the time period and height of our Physics Cow’s circular flight path to calculate the gravitational field...

Grade 8 learned about the structure of plant leaves this week in Science. After learning about the theory, we then carried out an experiment that allowed us to observe stomata on leaves from around the school grounds.

G12 this week have continued to get to grips with the magical world of particle physics, looking at Feynman diagrams in particular which aim to visualise the interactions and decays of particles. The windows in the new building and the tables in the Science lab...

This has been a great start for the Grade 11s to the IBDP Physics course. The whole class (all two of them) got stuck into the problem solving challenge and solved it successfully. We also discussed orders of magnitude and the size and age of the universe.

This week in Science, we welcomed the Grade 6s for a crime scene investigation. The science department is happy to report that our new detectives solved the casesuccessfully and found the correct suspect. Our grade 7s investigated the prevelance of microbes around...
