Our grade 7 scientists are wrapping up their unit on the scientific method with a bang! 💥 They have been diligently conducting experiments, gathering data, and sharpening their critical thinking and collaborative skills. This week, they are culminating their learning by compiling comprehensive lab reports as part of their criteria BC summative.
They explored the relationship between temperature and the states of matter. Students observed the melting of ice cubes in hot water and constructed cooling curves to analyze the resulting temperature fluctuations.
This unit has equipped our students with a strong understanding of core scientific concepts on the scientific method, lab safety and the correct use of lab apparatus.
In their latest experiment, they investigated the fascinating relationship between temperature and the state of matter. They observed how ice cubes melt in hot water and created cooling curves to analyze the temperature changes. 📈
We’re so proud of their hard work and dedication since moving to middle school!
