I hope you all had a great holiday, I did!
I am writing to give you an update on holidays (tentative and otherwise) and some dates for events coming up over the next few months.
You will have all notice that next Saturday and Sunday are tentatively on the calendar as being National Day holidays. Up until now, we have received no confirmation that these holidays are going to take place and there are rumors that they occur at a later date. As a result, please assume that Saturday and Sunday are regular school days unless we tell you otherwise.
We will post any changes on right here.
It is reporting time already and the mid-semester Reports will be issued on Tuesday, 22nd November at the end of the school day.
The three way conferences will take place on the evening of Tuesday, 22 November and during the day on Wednesday, 23 November. Please read the letter attached and return by this Wednesday at the latest. We would love to see as many of you as possible at this important event. Please note that there will be no regular school on this day.
Because of the uncertainly around the timing of holidays and the shortage of school days before the Winter Break, we have decided to move the International Evening to later in the year. The new date for this event will be the 15th of February.
The Winter Musical will be taking place on Wednesday, December 14th and I know that many teachers and parents are hard at work preparing for this event. Check the website for more information.
We have been hard at work organizing a really wonderful Explore Oman Week for our Kindergarten to Grade 8 students. This year the Explore Oman Week will take place in the week of the 25th of February to the 1st of March. More information to come in the following weeks…
And finally…
As promised at the Orientation Evening, there will be an evening to provide parents with information about some of the exciting initiatives that we at school have been working on over the last few months. The meeting will take place on Saturday, December 10th at 18.00 here at school and I would encourage as many of you to attend as possible.
Enough for now, I will post a message as soon as we know more about public holidays.
Best wishes
Neil Tomalin
