On Wednesday our senior boys played an 11 a side full pitch match against Sohar International School at the Sallan Roundabout pitch. The game was a super exciting affair with both sides using the wide open spaces to make for a fast and open game. After getting adjusted to the pitch and having a number of chances ABIS were justly rewarded when Shalin found the net for ABIS to lead 1-0 at half time. The second half started at the same pace and SIS were quick to respond and scored two quick goals to take the lead soon after half time. ABIS fought back well and dominated the latter stages of play and after a number of good chances Shalin once again scored for ABIS and we were back on even terms. As the clock wound down the final seconds SIS managed to weave through our defense and score just before the final whistle blew to win 3-2. All our players had great games with Klint a star in defense and good support from Ishtiaq, Santiago, Saif and Harshit. Aqeel made some fantastic saves in goal and really kept us in the game. Isaac and David made some great breaks out wide and worked well with Julio and Ziad in the middle. We look forward to a rematch.
