This week in grade 7 science was particularly engaging as students wrapped up their unit on transforming matter into useful materials. They conducted an inquiry into how scientific advancements can convert elements from the periodic table into products that affect humanity.A part of their criterion D task, students selected a significant element and researched its scientific properties, applications, and the positive and negative implications for society and the environment. Their findings were presented as infographics, accompanied by short essays or video explanations.To foster collaborative learning, students will continue to showcase their infographics in class. They also completed their Criterion A test to assess their knowledge and understanding of the unit.
