Busy week in Design

After the long weekend, students were busy evaluating and completing the final pieces of work for their design challenge….. Grade 9 /10 started new units.

Grade 7. Students created their own surveys using google forms. Then classmates watched their stop motion video and then completed the survey. Surveys are great ways to get feedback.
Grade 8. They too completed surveys which classmates completed. They also tested their specifications to see if they were successful or not -attached image. A final wrap up reflecting on the unit and their ATLs is now done and dusted which means they are ready to start their next unit….
Grade 9. They have started their innovators unit where they have chosen projects to complete for school teachers. Students here are looking at creating storage in the art space, while some want to build signage, others fold up eating platforms for outside chairs…. all very exciting.
Grade 10. Students have started a mini unit with the aim to create toys for the Early Years children. Here we held class outside and students were using the window for planning purposes.
