Last Thursday and Friday  saw our much anticipated basketball league get underway. The first game involved our girls against their fierce rivals Sohar Park. Unlike the last time they played our girls displayed great teamwork and fighting spirit to really outplay a tough opposition and run away with the game 30 – 9. All the girls played extremely well with Sanna and Andee scoring early on to give us confidence and our defense working really well to restrict Sohar Park’s scoring. Sanna ended up with 8 points, Tay’a also 8, Andee 6 and Emma 4 in one of our best performances.

The second game was ABIS boys up against SIS. Our boys once again put on a very solid performance with good teamwork and quality skills to outplay their opponents, especially in the first half. SIS found their feet in the second half and gradually got back into the game but couldn’t make up the ground as ABIS ran out winners 51 – 29. For ABIS David scored 28 points, Newton 16 and Isaac 8 in a good all round display.

In other games Tamer’s Academy Girls beat the Bangladeshi Girls team 25 – 5 and Sohar Park Boys defeated Tamer’s Academy boys 44 – 26.
