Basketball and More Basketball

We have had an exceptionally big week on the basketball court with firstly the secondary inter house competition followed by our first interschool game of the year.

Inter House

With most of this year’s competition being held on Thursday afternoon it turned out to be an exciting and action packed day with some tight games and thrilling baskets. In the boys an undermanned Desert Foxes led by David powered to three straight wins despite a determined effort from the Leopards in the final game. The Leopards and Dolphins tied for second place after playing out a thrilling 5-5 draw and the Falcons in fourth.

In the girls the Falcons were the dominate team with Sanna scoring a massive 30 points in three games and Tay’a 14 to take out first position. The Desert Foxes fought hard all day to finish in second with the Leopards third and Dolphins fourth.

David was voted the MVP in the boys competition and in the girls it proved too difficult to split the difference between Sanna’s high scoring and Christine’s great team contribution.
