The Secondary team will now be posting more regularly on the Broadcaster to keep you informed about our many developments and activities. I enjoyed meeting a group of secondary parents on Monday morning and having a conversation about how we can improve the Secondary school and its services to students. There were numerous items under discussion and it was fantastic to have so much useful feedback. I hope to meet with parents more regularly at coffee mornings in the future.
A big focus area this year is to raise the achievement of all Secondary students, and on Sunday I held an assembly on “Experiencing success” and how to achieve it. In the coming weeks and months we will be working on ways to motivate students, help them set personal targets and find the right strategies to achieve them, as well as improve their organizational skills. I have attached a “Prezi” (an alternative to PowerPoint) link so that you can glimpse some of the areas that I discussed in my presentation.
