Dear parents and students,

Coming up soon is our grade 6 Exhibition. For the Exhibition we will be focussing on global warming and climate change. We would like to take action and observe Earth Hour at home and school as this is one way to reduce global emissions.

Earth hour is about saving energy and water and saving the earth in the long term. Every year we use a lot of electricity. Earth Hour saves an incredible amount of energy through cutting down on all inessential use of electricity.
We hope that you understand and want to take action for the following two times at home and at school: The first time is at home on Saturday, 29th March at 8:30-9:30 pm with the rest of the world. You can have a party or make it as fun as you like!
The second time is with us at school on Sunday the 30th for fifteen minutes at lunch time while we are eating. We would like to turn all lights off. Teachers can do it longer if they have time.
To read more go to www.eso.org.om where you can pledge to join Oman with observing Earth Hour.
