Happy Thursday everyone!
We have successfully completed the 6 weeks of the 4th term. It is great to see students evolving and excited to do new things everyday. The energy that you bring to the school is just amazing. Here’s a look at the incredible things we did this week and the exciting adventures ahead!
🚀 Grade 7: Exploring the spaces with Mathematics!
You absolutely rocked this week while inquiring into the world of spaces. You have completed the review of two and 3 dimensional geometry and also reviewed your knowledge and understanding through summative tasks and reflections of the task in this week. This week we started the inquiry into the world of data and we are exploring graphical representations of the data. The highlight of the week is that many of you are getting yourself on the task. Next week we will continue with the data handling.
💡 Grade 8: Getting into the world of data!
This week, we reviewed our inquiries into the techniques of analysing the data. We inquired into the median, quartiles, range and inter-quartile range (IQR). We have also explored extracting five point summaries from the box and whisker plot and made box and whisker plots using the five point summary. We also completed the summative task and reflection on the summative task. The highlight of the week is that almost all of you are able to learn this concept very successfully. Next week, we will continue the inquiry into the analysis of the continuous data and their real-life applications through the summative task based on the criterion C and D.
✨ Grade 9: Exploring abstractness of the patterns and relationships!
This week, we continued our exploration of the concepts of functions as machines and extended the understanding with the help of flow charts, domain, range, mapping diagrams and graphs and types of graphs. Along with this you have also reflected on your learning through the summative task. The biggest highlight of the week is that many of you are engaged in the learning process besides ongoing MOE exams. Next week, we will continue our focus more on graphs of functions and types of functions.
📈 Grade 10: Preparing for the future!
This week, we continued to review the concepts which could be useful for the upcoming IBDP math. We started with the number and algebra for review and preparation for IBDP. We will continue reviewing prior knowledge for IBDP in order to keep you super ready for the upcoming rigorous IBDP journey. The assessments are ending this week and I wish you all the very best for upcoming celebrations of learning!
🎯 Grade 11: Celebration of learning!
This week has been a celebration of your learning. You are done writing your year end examination. As long as Math is concerned, the assessment has been very positive. You have reflected on your mock exams and now we have headed into the hypothesis testing which will help you to prove the validity of the inference from statistical analysis.
See you next week.
You have all earned a wonderful and restful weekend. Let’s meet again on Sunday with lots of energy and excitement to learn and explore!!!
