Happy Thursday everyone!

We have successfully completed the 5 weeks of the 4th term. It is great to see students evolving and excited to do new things everyday. The energy that you bring to the school is just amazing. Here’s a look at the incredible things we did this week and the exciting adventures ahead!

🚀 Grade 7: Exploring the spaces with Mathematics!

You absolutely rocked this week while inquiring into the world of spaces. You have completed the review of two and 3  dimensional geometry and are now reviewing your knowledge and understanding through formative tasks and reflections of the task in this week. This week we completed the inquiry into the surface area and volume of solids. The highlight of the week is that many of you are getting yourself on the task. Next week we will complete the summative task and break for the Eid holidays.

💡 Grade 8: Getting into the world of data!

This week, we reviewed our inquiries into the techniques of analysing the data. We inquired into the median, quartiles, range and inter-quartile range (IQR). We have also explored extracting five point summaries from the box and whisker plot and made box and whisker plots using the five point summary. We also completed the formative task and reflection on the formative task. The highlight of the week is that almost all of you are able to learn this concept very successfully with the MOE exams for some students. Next week, we will continue the inquiry into the analysis of the continuous data and their real-life applications through the summative task based on the criterion C and D.

✨ Grade 9: Exploring abstractness of the patterns and relationships!

This week, we continued our exploration of the concepts of functions as machines and extended the understanding with the help of flow charts, domain, range, mapping diagrams and graphs and types of graphs. Along with this you have also reflected on your learning through the formative task. The biggest highlight of the week is that many of you are engaged in the learning process besides ongoing MOE exams. Next week, we will continue our focus more on graphs of functions and types of functions.

📈 Grade 10: Preparing for the future!

This week, we continued to review the concepts which could be useful for the upcoming IBDP math. We started with the number and algebra for review and preparation for IBDP. We will continue reviewing prior knowledge for IBDP in order to keep you super ready for the upcoming rigorous IBDP journey. The assessments are ending this week and I wish you all the very best for upcoming celebrations of learning!

🎯 Grade 11: Celebration of learning!

This week has been a celebration of your learning. You have been writing your year end examination. As long as Math is concerned, the assessment has been very positive.
See you next week.

You have all earned a wonderful and restful weekend. Let’s meet again on Sunday with lots of energy and excitement to learn and explore!!!
