Grade 10 science students have well engaged their ideas in cell biology and biotechnology through an examination of the structure and function of cells and how they contribute to the formation of tissues and organ systems. Over the past two weeks, they have studied key systems including the circulatory system, digestive system, muscular system, and skeletal system, looking at their functions, how they work and what diseases there are. From heart disease in the circulatory system to osteoporosis in the skeletal system, students investigated the causes, symptoms and treatment of the conditions, including lifestyle changes, medications and advanced therapies.
