Hello all,
Week 4 in music is done and dusted. We’ve been busy playing, singing and dancing as usual.
- Grade 1 student moved to music, learned some new songs and even rewrote lyrics for a song
- Grade 2 continue to impress with their energy levels and upbeat attitude, learning more songs, even in different languages!
- Grade 3 started work on a healthy food rap and continue to improve other songs in their repertoire
- Grade 4 are working hard to pronounce lyrics for new songs as well as improving their knowledge of rhythms- we’ll be starting a composition unit next week using vocabulary from their work in homeroom around role models and heroes
- Grade 5 have looked at chords and simple melodies in preparation for an upcoming composition unit
- Grades 7&8 choir continue to work on pitch matching before we move onto new songs next week
