We are definitely now back into the swing of things in mathematics. It has been a very busy week. Grade 10’s have had a taste of things to come with an Algebra Test to finish the week, with questions taken directly from an IGCSE paper (see the photo); grade 8’s have been laying the groundwork for future investigational work by looking at the process of writing up an investigation (and have one to complete for homework!); grades 9 and 11 are continuing to work well on their new courses; and grade 7’s are as enthusiastic as ever.
However, my highlight of the week was going to grade 6 mathematics on Monday afternoon and discussing different types of number sequences and patterns…. I hope they remember what they were told, I will be back checking on them again next Monday!
