This week the grade 7s have been issued a homework that parents can help them with. The focus is introducing the substitution of letters for words in statements where students and parents have to guess the meaning, for example:
60s in a M – the letter M stands for minute and s stands for seconds. Therefore the proper sentence would read 60 seconds in a minute.

As you can see from the photograph Mr Provencher found it a bit confusing.
