Happy Thursday to all!

We have completed the 18th week of the academic year which happens to be the 3rd week of the second semester. We have been quite busy with successful IB Evaluation visit. It is good to see everyone of you fully rejuvenated and full of energy and this semester is going to be great. It is just awesome to see you everyday. Here’s a look at the incredible things we did this week and the exciting adventures ahead!

πŸš€ Grade 7: Defining Mathematical relationships using expressions !

You absolutely rocked this week while using the like and unlike terms algebraic expressions and related terminologies such as monomial, binomial, trinomial and polynomial to simplify mathematical expressions. You have successfully understood the simplification of the algebraic expressions which is a great highlight of the week for me. You will now use this learning of like terms and unlike terms and their simplification to start helping x to find its own value while solving equations.

πŸ’‘ Grade 8: Mastering Linear Algebra and moving to the visuals!

This week, we started to analyse the equations of the lines and further moved into finding the point of intersection using graphical and algebraic methods. The algebraic method that you learnt is the substitution method. The engagement during these inquiries are the best thing to experience this week too. We will continue with substitution and elimination methods for these simultaneous equations in the next week.

✨ Grade 9: Exploring the triangles!

This week, we inquired into triangles and trigonometry. You could find unknown sides and angles of the triangle using the Pythagoras theorem and trigonometry. We explored angles of elevation and depression and solved real-life problems on them. The engagement is very encouraging. Next week, we will continue to apply trigonometry to find the angles of elevation and depression and dig deeper into trigonometry with true bearings.

πŸ“ˆ Grade 10: Exploring circle theorems to explore the Math in drones!

It has been so good to watch you explore the properties of circles and circle theorems. We have applied circle theorems in problems and started practicing criterion A. The highlight of the week is the practice of problem solving on Assessprep. Next week, we will continue exploring the circle theorem applications and trigonometry in problem solving to prepare for the summative assessment.

🎯 Grade 11: Exploring circles, arcs and sectors!

The learning engagement this week has been fantastic! We are into the unit on geometry and trigonometry exploring surface area and volume of solids. Next week, we will continue with geometry and inquire into the Internal assessment component and we will begin the process of completing the Math exploration.

You have all earned a wonderful and restful winter break. Go recharge those brilliant brains! 🧠
