Happy Thursday, Math superstars! πŸ‘‹

We are in the 13th week of the academic year. This week has been a week of celebrations of learnings in the terms of formative and summative assessments. You were full of energy and you’ve nailed it well. It is just awesome to see you everyday. Here’s a look at the incredible things we did this week and the exciting adventures ahead!

πŸš€ Grade 7: Discovering patterns and relationships!

You absolutely rocked this week while discovering the patterns and relationships in the investigations. You are now in the quest of finding the patterns and relationships in numbers and real-world in the form of function machines. Next week we will continue with the exploration of patterns and description along with the general rules for the function machines. These learnings will help you with the assessments at the end of the unit.

πŸ’‘ Grade 8: Mastering Linear Algebra and moving to the visuals!

This week, you inquired into the world of the co-ordinate geometry. You reviewed the point plotting, found the midpoints. Your thoughtful inquiries are a massive win this week! The use of google slides is working very well. These inquiries will help you to master the art of extracting the information from the equation of the line, understand the slopes and intercepts and their applications in the real-life.

✨ Grade 9: Getting into the world of Abstract reasoning with quadratics!

This week, you are into the world of quadratics. You have investigated and discovered all three methods of solving the quadratic equations. Your class engagements in the inquiries are commendable. You have successfully completed the criterion B investigations. Next week, we’re continuing to do algebraic thinking and dive deeper into the real-life applications of the quadratic equations.

πŸ“ˆ Grade 10: Using quadratic and exponentials to model game of Cricket!

It has been so good to watch you explore the universe of functions and graphs this week as well. This week we solved some real-world questions modelled into quadratic and exponential functions. The focus towards learning is commendable and encouraging as always. We have dived deeper into formative assessments and reviewed the functions through the formatives to apply it into summatives. Next week, we will explore the drones and Math behind the working of drones!

🎯 Grade 11: The Models are ready to apply in real-life!

The learning engagement this week has been fantastic! We have been exploring the functions and modeling. The inquiries and engagement has been very encouraging and we are moving into the real- world modeling of the same. Next week, we will continue functions and modeling and their graphs and explore the abstract beauty of Mathematics through real-world applications.

You have all earned a wonderful and restful break. Go recharge those brilliant brains! 🧠

All the best,Β

Mr. Arun
