This week, Grade 10 students participated in a unit on “Literary and Non-Literary Arts.” This unit covers a variety of writing styles, including essays, blogs, memoirs, stories, and opinion pieces. One of the main people in the unit was doing a journalistic interview. Each student chose a person they wanted to interview, prepared a character from the interview questions, and then wrote. These students have special writing skills, unique to them in their desire to look at different perspectives and policy options. Students showed creativity in formulating questions, and were prepared to make change in a nominating and engaging way.
