Grade two have been out today visiting – the Copper Mines, the ancient town of Willi and the abandoned town of Sahlat. They were tempted by the amazing numbers of pottery shards, but agreed that leaving them behind for the archaeologists to learn about the place was the Principled thing to do. They were allowed however, to take pieces of slag – the remnants from copper mining in the past – so if they come home with bits of black rock in their bags, ask them about it! Mrs Price also gave them interesting bits of information about the geology around them, so they may have other pieces of rock with a story about what it is and how it got to where they found it. They will be staying back for their overnight stay.

K3 saw the results of their underground cooking come out of the pit – and are preparing for their late stay with marvelous activities planned by Miss Liezel and Miss Kadhija.

FEY has been spending the day making amazing crafts – make sure you stop by and see their Bakhoor pots, their Kanjhas and their necklaces.

Grade one are off and away visiting Nakhal and are expected back at five. A long day, but no doubt a fruitful one!

Grade five have been up at Wadi Bani Habib and have hiked up the mountain. Ragu is on the menu for dinner – I think they are all ready to eat!!
