This has been a quiet week in terms of practical work in the Science department. Many grades were finishing their units, being tested in them and starting brand new ones,
Grade 11 Chemistry students started Atomic Structure and built a Mass Spectrometer model, being also tested on the very feared Stoichiometry. Grade 11 Biology students started Biochemistry and talked about Bio-elements and biological molecules, being tested on Cells. Grade 12 Chemistry students started with REDOX reactions, being tested in the Acids and bases topic. Finally, grade 12 Biology students finished with the nervous system and will start next week with the endocrine and reproductive systems, last topic of their SL Human Physiology topic.
Grade 7 students started with forces and are in the process of building balloon carts for testing Newton’s second law next week.
And half term is rapidly approaching…..time flies when you are having fun.
