Grade 9 Advisory
A warm and joyful welcome to all our Grade 9 advisory students and families! Stepping into High School is a huge milestone, and I wish every single one of you the absolute best as we launch this exciting journey together.
Grade 9 Mathematics
- This Week in Our Learning: We hit the ground running with a comprehensive review of Rational and Irrational numbers alongside the essential Laws of Indices.
- Student Spotlight: Kudos to the entire class! Your high level of engagement and visible eagerness to dive into problem-solving made Week 1 an absolute joy.
- Looking Ahead: Next week, we’ll reflect on our independent learning strategies and push into fractional indices, leading us into the world of surds.
Grade 10 Mathematics
- This Week in Our Learning: We kicked off the term by re-anchoring our core foundations with a review of Relations.
- Student Spotlight: Shoutout to all our students for their sharp engagement—it was wonderful seeing so many recall prior concepts so effortlessly!
- Looking Ahead: Next week, students will get early practice with e-assessments under timed exam conditions before continuing our deep dive into functions and graphs.
Grade 11 Mathematics
- This Week in Our Learning: We set the roadmap for our IBDP journey by exploring the syllabus, assessment criteria, and digital resources, followed by our first topic: Linear Functions.
- Student Spotlight: A big nod of appreciation to our Grade 11s for approaching the start of DP Math with real maturity, curiosity, and readiness to work.
- Looking Ahead: We will build on this strong foundation next week as we continue expanding our work on Linear Functions.
Grade 12 Mathematics
- This Week in Our Learning: Our seniors jumped right into Calculus! We mastered the fundamental concepts of limits and began developing ideas around derivatives.
- Student Spotlight: High praise for your determination! Mastering limits so quickly demonstrates the exact mindset needed for senior year.
- Looking Ahead: Next week, our focus shifts squarely onto advanced derivatives and kicking off the first drafts of your Math Explorations (IA).
