Happy Thursday to all!
We have completed the 20th week of the academic year. This has been an exciting week as we have been celebrating Oman week in school ending with International evening. It is good to see everyone of you fully rejuvenated and full of energy and this semester is going to be great. It is just awesome to see you everyday. Here’s a look at the incredible things we did this week and the exciting adventures ahead!
🚀 Grade 7: Defining Mathematical relationships using expressions !
You absolutely rocked this week while simplifying mathematical expressions in magic squares. You have also started llearning the mathematical language and its conversion from english to mathematical expressions. You have successfully understood the simplification of the algebraic expressions which is a great highlight of the week for me. You will now use this learning and understanding of Mathematical language to solve equations and further questions based on real-life contexts.
💡 Grade 8: Mastering Linear Algebra and moving to the visuals!
This week, we started to find the point of intersection using graphical and algebraic methods. The algebraic method that you learnt are the substitution method and elimination methods. The engagement during these inquiries are the best thing to experience this week too. We will continue using the substitution and elimination method to solve problems based on the real-life contexts.
✨ Grade 9: Exploring the triangles and Trip!
This week, in only one of the class we inquired into the applications of triangles and trigonometry. We continued exploreing angles of elevation and depression and solved real-life problems on them. The engagement is very encouraging. Next week, we will continue to apply trigonometry to find the angles of elevation and depression and dig deeper into trigonometry with true bearings.
📈 Grade 10: Exploring circle theorems and trigonometry to explore the Math in drones!
This week we are into the revision mode meant for the upcoming assessments. We have been solving challenging questions on circle theorems and trigonometry. Next week, we will continue revising the circle theorem applications and trigonometry in problem solving to prepare for the summative assessment.
🎯 Grade 11: Exploring Trigonometry and solids!
The learning engagement this week has been fantastic! We inquired into the Internal assessment component and we will begin the process of completing the Math exploration. We are also into the unit on geometry and trigonometry exploring surface area and volume of solids, and apply Pythagoras theorem and trigonometry in right angled and non-right- angled triangles. We have completed theoretical part of the concepts and Next week, we will continue problem solving with geometry.
You have all earned a wonderful and restful weekend break. Let’s meet again on Sunday with lots of energy and excitement to learn and explore!!!
