This week in Grade 7 Science, students focused on cell specialization as part of their on-going unit in introduction to cell biology. They researched and presented on the functions and unique adaptations of various specialized cells, including nerve, muscle, red blood, palisade, and root hair cells, gaining a better understanding of how cells are designed to perform specific roles in living organisms.
In Math, students continued working on algebraic expressions, mastering skills such as collecting like terms, simplifying expressions with one or two brackets, and multiplying variables. Next week, they will apply these skills to model algebraic expressions in everyday situations.
Students are currently preparing for their Criterion A summative assessments scheduled for May 19th in Math and May 20th in Science.
