Greetings from our EAL department

Did you know that we have a specialized team known as the EAL (English as an Additional Language) department? The primary focus of our EAL department is on fostering academic success and social integration for our students who are learning English as an additional language throughout their entire school journey.

Our EAL department operates in close collaboration with homeroom teachers, ensuring a seamless and supportive learning environment for all students. Through a collaborative approach, we strive to make content across various subjects such as Math, Science, and Social studies more comprehensible for our EAL learners. This involves employing differentiation strategies tailored to meet the diverse needs and proficiency levels of each student.

Beyond subject-specific content, our EAL program is designed to nurture and enhance the English language skills of our students. We place a strong emphasis on developing their abilities in reading, writing, listening, and speaking English. This comprehensive approach not only facilitates their academic progress but also empowers them to communicate effectively in English across different contexts.
