Assessment As Learning

This week in Grade 7, students used their Personal Timeline Projects to workshop around self-evaluation, self-assessment and using feedback to elevate their work. They used their project checklists and student friendly success criteria descriptors.   Feedback to improve their final submissions. Some Grade 8 students added to the process by providing additional guidance and feedback by using the same descriptors to assist their evaluation of the Grade 7 work. They left post-it messages on each G7 students poster with a note about what grade they would assign it, and what students could do to elevate their work.

Everyone was very engaged in the process. Next week, students will present their work to the class and write a personal reflection on the process.
