Throughout history, Artists have been asked to create and express in less than ideal situations. We do not always have the perfect environment available to us. The musicians at ABIS have been no different, showing resiliency and flexibility as the adapt to COVID-19 safety protocols. With Omicron cases increasing, the Band students have moved all their rehearsals outside in order to protect their classmates and themselves. I was deeply impressed by the professionalism and maturity of the High School students as they moved music stands and instruments from the Mazoon to our new outdoor rehearsal space near the Music room. It is a testament to their musicianship and focus that they adapted so smoothly. I continue to be impressed by their hard work and strength.
