Accountability and responsibility are key aspects to learning. This term, the focus has been on helping students in grade 7-8 become more critical in their thinking, more formal in their assessments and more accountable in managing themselves. There will be a transition to more rigorous study and assessments next term. Students will need to become more organised and accountable in managing their work and deadlines for summative tasks. Their success will depend on these skills.
Grade 7 have a math revision program for the holidays that will address any gaps in their understanding. Please make the effort to supervise them at least 15 minutes a day to complete the program. Continue to encourage the practice of mental math skills. This is crucial to creating a solid foundation for secondary Maths.
