This week grade 8 Scientists have been continuing to work through their unit on communities and the SOI: To achieve fairness, development must balance the needs of the current communities with the needs of future communities. As part of this they were investigating the effect that competition has on a community. They have set up experiments with differing amounts of cress seeds in the same size containers and if this will have an effect of their growth rates.
They were also examine two of the assessment criteria they will be using this year and seeing if they could write down what they would expect to see in their write up to reach the highest levels of attainment.
