At this week’s assembly, students (and parents!) got to learn a new song. Once students learned the melody and phrases through call and response, we all experimented with moving our bodies to the steady beat and crossing the body mid-line (a tough task for kids and even some adults). With each repetition of this song and accompanying movement, students are building connections between the left and rights sides of their brain, making them even more intelligent and capable in all areas of life, including music.
