Week of the Winter Concerts

Winter music concert rehearsal and Concert photos

This week has been a truly musical celebration across the Primary School!

KG1 – Grade 2: From Desert Sands to Winter Skies

Our youngest learners, from KG1 to Grade 2, have been fully engaged in preparing for their Winter Music Concert. The music rooms were alive with singing, and joyful exploration of instruments as students rehearsed their pieces with excitement and pride.

A special highlight came from Grade 2, who shared their beautifully crafted soundscapes inspired by Oman — echoing the mountains, wadis, deserts, and the wondrous creatures that call these landscapes home. Their creativity and imagination truly brought the theme “From Desert Sands to Winter Skies” to life.

The KG and Grade 1 classes embraced their songs with energy and confidence, filling the space with bright voices and expressive performances. We were so proud to see KG–G2 share their hard work on stage at the concert — a magical afternoon filled with music, smiles, and community.

Grades 3–6: Preparing for Their Turn on Stage

Meanwhile, our older students in Grades 3–6 are deeply immersed in rehearsals for their own Winter Concert, taking place on Wednesday, 10th December from 4:00–5:00 PM. Their focus, teamwork, and commitment have been inspiring. From ensemble work to choreography and instrumental pieces, the concert promises to be a dynamic showcase of musical learning and growth.

Primary Choir: A Shining Performance

The Primary Choir has had an exceptionally busy week as well. Students spent their lunch breaks rehearsing diligently for the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Their performance was a resounding success, bringing festive cheer to the event and representing ABIS with pride and professionalism.

Looking Ahead

As we move into next week, excitement builds for the Grades 3–6 Winter Concert. We look forward to celebrating another beautiful evening of music as our students take to the stage and share the results of their hard work and creativity.

Thank you for your continued support of the Performing Arts at ABIS — our students shine brighter because of it!
