This term both grade 8 students and grade 9 students are analysing advertisments. Grade 9s are focusing on specifically tourism advertisements while grade 8 students select advertisements for their final analysis. On Wednesday, the 2 groups had the opportunity to enagage in the Approaches to Learning Skill of Collaboration. They practised giving each other meaningful feedback on conventions, functions, rhetorical appeals and the structure of introductory paragraphs. The groups were engaged and focused on learning from each other.
