Rhythm Rules! 🥁
This week, the classrooms were buzzing with rhythmic energy! Our youngest learners explored new rhythms using colorful #rhythm cards and shimmering #cymbals. and #rhythmsticks. The air was filled with exciting call-and-response patterns, as students echoed rhythms and created their own musical conversations.
Singing Sensations! 🎤
Singing voices filled the hallways as students learned new songs and revisited old favorites. We even embarked on a musical world tour, learning songs from different countries and cultures! #GlobalCitizenship starts with appreciating the diverse sounds of our planet. 🌎
Move to the Groove! 💃🕺
Music isn’t just about sounds; it’s about movement and expression! Our students let their creativity shine as they invented new dance moves to interpret the music they heard. From flowing melodies to energetic beats, their bodies became instruments of expression. #CreativeMovement
Reflection and Assessment 🧐
In Grades 3-6, we took a deep dive into self-assessment and reflection. Students learned how to use a #rubric to evaluate their own performances on rhythm instruments, singing, and recorders. They even recorded themselves on iPads and identified areas for improvement! Talk about taking ownership of their learning! #SelfAssessment #LearnerProfile
