I wanted to share with you about the energy source models your children have been working hard to construct. As part of their exploration of renewable and non-renewable energy, each group was tasked with building either a solar panel, wind turbine, or hydroelectric generator. We are currently at the planning stage but  I’ve been so impressed with the creativity, collaboration, and skills the students have shown in their discussions so far.  I think experiencing the concepts hands-on like this will help cement their understanding. Next, we will be putting all these ideas into reality by building our electricity generator models. The fascinating aspect of the project is that the models must be working models.  They are gaining valuable skills in exploring both sustainable and conventional energy solutions.
