After the examinations comes the projects and the coursework….
Grade 7’s are currently working on projects on famous mathematicians and they have to produce a presentation that includes a biography, a summary of the mathematicians work and a commentary on the era in which they lived.
Grade 8’s are working on a data handling project on ‘What makes the average Grade 8 student?’ They are collecting personal data and comparing the findings with international data researched from the internet.
Grade 9’s have been looking at the Investigation and Modelling requirements of Paper 6 of the IGCSE Mathematics syllabus.
Grade 11’s have been looking at the requirements of the Internal Exploration for the Mathematics IB Standard Level, including examining exemplar material and marking a piece of coursework themselves.
