Ever wanted to throw something at your teacher? Grades 6 and 7 tried a new activity this week in Music and spent the last few minutes of the lesson throwing paper snowballs at Ms Williams! After trying the activity verbally and then doing it on paper, the students then briefly wrote down how they felt about doing something new and how they thought their skills were developing. The anonymous sheets were then scrunched into paper snowballs. Loads of fun, of course, but also a valuable way of monitoring student progress and making formative assessments to plan future lessons.
Student feedback takes the form of a snowball fight!
