Grade 7 students began the second half of their unit on biomes quite aptly on Earth Day by investigating how tropical rainforests are ‘systems’ – the key concept for their unit. The students were provided 5 sources to explore and from which to gain learning. They then had to illustrate their learning by means of an educational poster that could include visual texts, such as labelled diagrams, maps, and infographics.
