Our Grade 11 students have reached a significant milestone by completing the Organic Chemistry units (S3 and R3). SL students are currently consolidating their knowledge of functional groups and reactions, while our HL students have just wrapped up advanced work on reaction mechanisms, stereochemistry, and spectroscopic analysis. To prepare for their upcoming End of Unit test this Sunday, April 26th, students should be actively engaging with the review materials, Kognity modules, and practice questions available on Google Classroom.
Looking ahead, we will transition into Periodicity to conclude the Structure 3 block. This leads directly into our comprehensive End of Year exams, where students will face the challenge of full Paper 1 and Paper 2 assessments under timed conditions. These exams will cover all content delivered this year (S1, S2, S3, and R3). Given the breadth of the material, consistent personal review at home is essential for students to successfully synthesize these complex topics and build the stamina required for the IB exam format.
